Chicago Loop Neighbor's next speaker will be attorney David Sugar. His work focuses on real estate and corporate matters, especially the representation of condominium associations and common interest community associations in connection with statutory compliance and governance issues, covenant enforcement, capital project loans, litigation, and developer disputes.
He will talk about issues for condo board members in today's challenging times. He will address "hot issues" such as heightened obligations regarding building structural integrity; heightened disclosure obligations to buyers and lenders; dealing with deconversion offers; dealing with handicap accommodation requests; restricting unit rentals and smoking; dealing with COVID and other public health challenges; and issues around EMV charging stations.
